FEDORAS Ripple Effect: Aligning visions, amplifying voices, and connecting schools to society

FEDORAS is a new Teacher Academy that aims to design open and collaborative spaces where researchers, teachers, and other stakeholders in education come together to reimagine the role of school in the contemporary world, its mission, its values, and its place in society. FEDORAS builds a future-oriented vision of education that values participation, critical culture, and imagination, supporting teachers and learners in addressing contemporary challenges and co-creating meaningful knowledge.

To bring this vision into action, the project aims to spark a ripple effect that extends across schools and communities—inviting teachers to participate in human-centered, dynamic processes of transformation that foster narratives of change, value personal perspectives and needs, and connect them to broader societal changes.

The communication and dissemination project aims to connect more teachers and schools, building an infrastructure that relates local and global perspectives and cultivates a sense of connection, purpose, and a common educational horizon. It will try to follow and capture the evolving dynamics of alignment and disalignment across the Open Schooling Networks. Alignment moments will offer shared spaces for dialogue and coordination—where international partners reflect together, design and refine common directions. Disalignment moments will allow each network to explore how FEDORAS’s ideas can take root locally, through experimentation and contextual adaptation. In this storytelling, the communication and dissemination project seeks to document how the boundaries between school and society become porous, emphasizing the dynamic equilibrium in which schools and teachers open themselves to the world while positioning themselves as cultural catalysts in global educational and societal transformations.

A diffused communication strategy between the website and social media will play a central role in sustaining this process: nurturing a culture of collaboration and connection, involving new actors, and enabling the community to grow and evolve together.
